Dementia, Depression and Delirium in the Elderly

As the population ages, many older adults will suffer one or more of the three D’s: delirium, dementia, and depression. Because signs and symptoms overlap, distinguishing one from the others isn’t always easy. However, an accurate assessment is essential because treatments depend on the diagnosis. Delegates on this course we examine how the three D’s differ and discuss how a careful history and assessment guides your nursing interventions. This course will appeal to those who wish to have a basic understanding of the differences between these three conditions.
