Immunisation Course for Health Care Assistants

This vaccination course will complement your existing HCA training and help you stay confident, knowledgeable and up-to-date.

You need to know how to administer vaccinations for influenza, pneumococcal and swine flu. This two-day healthcare assistant course will give you all the skills you need in order to administer the injections as well covering the theoretical and legal background to immunisation.

This immunisation course is based on standard requirements as determined by the National Minimum Standards for Immunisation Training, Health Protection Agency, June 2005. All delegates will leave the course with an individual Patient Specific Direction (PSD) Protocol and a Competency Based Framework to use after the course under supervision with their mentor.
