Course Introduction

Heart failure is a complex syndrome in which the ability of the heart to maintain the circulation of blood is impaired. This results in breathlessness, fatigue, and signs of fluid retention, such as increased jugular venous pressure, pulmonary crepitations, and peripheral oedema. This workshop will discuss the incidence of heart failure and the management and treatment of heart failure. Discussion will also include chronic heart failure and end stage treatment and symptom management. We will also use case studies and analysis.

You will be allocated 6 CPD points on the completion of the course.
